Sometimes Big! Sometimes small… and occasionally not at all

My first attempt at a watercolour from life in about 40 mins. Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)

  2. I have on tips, just think this is a great effort for your first watercolour. I’m right now studying (online) figure drawing and on my own trying out watercolour. Way to go!

  3. keep going you are doing great I try it too and it is fun. At the moment I enjoy not doing the outside lines but the body straight with colours. They told me practice make you better….

  4. Great start!!!! Think about shapes not the figure as a whole. Keep going! I feel your power and that is important.

  5. Just keep going. This is a good start, but it’s like music, practice, practice and practice – but that’s part of the fun! šŸ™‚

  6. I suggest soaking the paper first and applying the colour lightly in a fairly abstract fashion, then drawing in the linework with pen later when it’s dry. Also work light to dark, the darkest colour on last. Hope that’s useful šŸ™‚
